Common problems

When Installation Goes Wrong

Water under the dishwasher

Why it matters: A drain hose without a high loop, or a supply fitting that was only hand-tight, can leak slowly into the cabinet floor for weeks before anyone sees it.
Washer walks across the floor

Why it matters: Shipping bolts left in the back or feet that were never leveled make the drum slam during the spin cycle and can damage the machine.
Fridge ice maker never fills

Why it matters: A kinked or pinched water line behind the refrigerator often stops water before it reaches the ice maker or dispenser.
Dryer takes two cycles

Why it matters: A crushed transition duct behind a new dryer traps lint and heat. The dryer works much harder and the clothes stay damp.
Range tips or rocks

Why it matters: A missing anti-tip bracket lets a range tilt forward when someone leans on the open oven door, which is a real danger with children.
Breaker trips on first use

How an Installation Visit Works

Before the visit

We ask for the model, where it is going, what it is replacing and what hookups are already there. If the job needs a new water, gas or electrical connection, we tell you before the visit.
Setting it in place

We check the space, the outlet and the connections, then move the appliance in without scratching floors or cabinets.
Connecting it

We connect water, drain, power or gas to the existing hookups, level the unit and fit any brackets or trim that came in the box.
Testing with you

We run the appliance through a cycle, check every connection for leaks, and show you anything you need to know before we leave.

Can you install an appliance I bought somewhere else?

Yes. Tell us the brand and model when you book. We install appliances from any store, as long as it arrives in its box with its parts.

Do you take the old appliance away?

Ask when you book. Tell us what is being replaced and we will tell you what we can do with it before the visit.

What if my hookups do not match the new appliance?

We check this before the visit from the model number and your photos or description. If something has to change, you hear about it first, not on installation day.

Should I be home during the installation?

Yes, or have someone there who can let us in and see the appliance tested. It usually takes less time than people expect.
