Commercial Dryer Repair in Houston, TX
Dryers are where a laundry backs up first. If one tumbler runs cold, wet loads stack up, customers wait and hotel housekeeping falls behind on towels and sheets. We repair gas and electric commercial dryers for businesses in Houston, TX. Reach us at (832) 332-1641 or through the commercial quote form.

Common problems
Commercial Dryer Problems We Fix
-
Tumbles with no heat
Likely cause: On a gas dryer this is often an igniter, flame sensor or gas valve coil that has worn out. An airflow switch can also keep the burner off when it does not sense enough air moving.
-
Loads take two cycles
Likely cause: Slow drying usually comes down to airflow. Lint packed in the screen housing or in a long exhaust run can choke the dryer so it heats but does not carry the moisture out.
-
Burner lights then drops out
Likely cause: A flame that starts and then goes out after a few seconds can mean the high-limit thermostat is opening from heat. Poor make-up air in a closed laundry room can cause it too.
-
Basket will not turn
Likely cause: A snapped belt, a worn idler or a failed drive motor will stop the tumbler. On some models a door switch that no longer closes keeps the motor from starting at all.
-
Squeal or thump
Likely cause: Support rollers and bearings wear out from long hours of use and often squeal before they fail. A thump once per turn can be a flat spot on a roller or a seam in the basket catching.
-
Takes money, gives no time
Likely cause: When a vended dryer accepts coins or a card and does not add minutes, the coin drop, reader or timer board is usually at fault. Staff often hear about this one from customers first.
What we work on
Commercial Dryer Types We Repair
Most laundromat and hotel dryers are gas, with a burner, an igniter and safety sensors that home machines do not have in the same form, and we work on electric tumblers too.
- Single-pocket tumble dryers
- Stacked double-pocket dryers
- Coin and card operated dryers
- Large-capacity on-premise tumblers
- Gas-fired and electric models
Our process
How a Commercial Visit Works
-
Questions up front
We ask when the laundry is open, whether the dryers are gas or electric and how we get behind the dryer bank. On stacked units we ask if the top or bottom pocket has the fault.
-
Finding what failed
We watch a start-up, check the burner or heating elements, and measure airflow and exhaust temperature. We also look at the belt, rollers and lint path while the panels are off.
-
Cost before work
You hear what we found and what it costs before we fix anything. The owner or manager approves the job, and only then do we start.
-
Repair and heat check
We replace the failed parts and run the dryer with a load. We check that the burner stays lit, the basket turns smoothly and the exhaust is moving air.

Questions
Commercial Dryer Repair Questions
What should staff do if they smell gas near the dryers?
Get everyone out of the area right away. Do not flip light switches, start or stop machines, or use any flame. Call the gas utility or 911 from outside the building, and once they say it is safe, call us for the repair.
Is it all right to keep running a dryer that is slow?
It is better to take it out of service. A dryer that runs long and hot with poor airflow is a fire risk because lint can build up where heat is trapped. Put a sign on it and call (832) 332-1641.
Do you clean the lint and exhaust as part of a repair?
We clear lint from the areas we open up to do the repair and tell you if the exhaust run looks blocked. If the duct beyond the machine needs a full cleaning, we will say so.
Can you repair one pocket of a stacked dryer while the other stays in use?
In many cases, no, because both pockets share power and gas connections that we shut off to work safely. We tell you how long the unit will be down before we begin.

I am very pleased with this company’s performance and their tech, Isa, was very kind and respectful. He was knowledgeable and very quick to get started and courteous with his work. He cleaned up everything after, I couldn’t even tell that he moved the washer. The machine is fixed and working perfectly. Thank you so much!
